The barrier island between the Intracoastal and the ocean, with the nearly 2.5-mile Broadwalk promenade along the sand. North of Hollywood Boulevard it’s low-rise — converted 1950s motels, three- and four-storey walk-ups on the numbered streets. South of the boulevard it goes vertical: Trump Hollywood at 2711 South Ocean Drive, Ocean Palms, Sian, Apogee Beach, Hyde Beach House, the Diplomat Residences, and the older Summit and Quadomain buildings.

Hollywood Lakes
The city’s oldest neighbourhood — east of US-1 between Washington and Johnson Streets, entered along royal-palm-lined Hollywood Boulevard and built around twin man-made lakes. It’s a historic district of 1920s homes on streets that are narrower than a modern truck likes, under mature banyans and palms that hang over the road.
How we move it: a 26-foot box truck, never a 53-foot trailer, parked with canopy clearance. If a street can’t take the truck at all, we plan a shuttle from the nearest wide road at the quote stage.
Downtown Hollywood & Young Circle
The circle itself with ArtsPark at its centre, the historic Hollywood Boulevard business district, newer rental buildings around the circle and older two- and three-storey apartments on the side streets. Metered street parking, a City events calendar that fills the circle on festival weekends, and Friday-evening traffic.

Hollywood Hills & Emerald Hills
West of I-95. Hollywood Hills is mid-century single-family homes on quiet grids off Hollywood Boulevard; Emerald Hills is the larger-lot neighbourhood around its golf club, with a mix of HOA and non-HOA streets. This is where the truck fits, three- and four-bedroom moves are common, and the real question is packing volume.

Hollywood’s Drawbridges Run on a Federal Timetable — We Book Around It
Every road onto Hollywood Beach crosses the Intracoastal Waterway on a drawbridge, and each one may open for boats only at the times fixed in the Code of Federal Regulations (33 CFR 117.261). A truck that reaches a raised span loses minutes — and, worse, can lose the loading-dock slot the building gave you. So we time the crossing.

Why the offset matters
Two bridges work the hour and half-hour; the other two work the quarter and three-quarter hour. Because the pairs are staggered by fifteen minutes, there is always a crossing that’s nowhere near its next opening slot. We route each beach move over the bridge that’s clear when the truck needs it and set the dock time to match. It’s a small piece of planning — and it’s why our beach moves don’t run late.

The U.S. Coast Guard sometimes approves temporary schedule changes for construction or events. We check current notices the week of your move, so you don’t have to.

The Broadwalk rule
The Broadwalk is a pedestrian and bicycle promenade — trucks can’t drive or park on it. Buildings whose only frontage is the Broadwalk (the low-rise condos on the numbered streets north of Hollywood Boulevard) are loaded from the street side, sometimes from a metered lane on Surf Road or the A1A frontage. We scout these on foot before move day and apply for a City temporary no-parking permit where one is needed.
