Moving a World Champion
Moving Hub × Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev
When a former multiple-time light heavyweight world champion moved his South Florida home, he didn’t hand it to a broker. He handed it to the carrier. Our own crew, our own trucks — handling everything from furniture and home gym equipment to something that can never be replaced: his championship collection.

The move
More than just furniture
Every move is different. This one put our crew through a large waterfront residence — garage, living areas, bedrooms and outdoor spaces — with two jobs running at once: protect the property, and protect the items being carried through it.
From the first floor runner laid down to the last piece set in place, one Moving Hub crew handled the entire move. No subcontractors. No handoffs. No “the truck company will call you.”
What the crew handled

- Sofas and upholstered furniture
- Cabinets and storage pieces
- Artwork packed in picture boxes
- Rugs and oversized household items

Protecting the home
Protection starts before the first item moves
A professional move begins before anything leaves the house. Our crew installed floor runners through the main traffic lanes and moving blankets around the oversized entry doors — protecting the stone flooring, thresholds and door surfaces while large pieces were carried through the property.
Furniture was then wrapped in professional moving blankets and secured before transportation.
Floor runners
Laid through every main traffic lane before a single item was lifted.
Door & jamb covers
Blankets around oversized entry doors and thresholds at every pinch point.
Blanket wrap
Every piece wrapped and secured before it moved toward the truck.
Professional packing & handling
Built for the items that require extra care
Large furniture was disassembled where necessary, individually wrapped and secured for transportation. Upholstered pieces were protected with blankets and wrap. Artwork was prepared in picture boxes. Larger and irregularly shaped pieces received additional protection before being carried through the property.
For us, professional moving isn’t simply getting an item from Point A to Point B. It’s making sure it arrives in the same condition it left.

The championship collection
Some things can’t be replaced
Among the items entrusted to our crew was something you don’t see on an everyday move: a collection of championship belts earned across a world-class professional boxing career.
These aren’t simply valuable possessions. They represent years of training, fights, victories and history. Being trusted around belongings with that kind of personal significance is something our crew doesn’t take lightly.
Getting to see — and hold — the belts was a memorable bonus. The responsibility was the same one we bring to every move: protect the home, protect the belongings, do the job right.
The Moving Hub crew
Trusted by a champion
He fought at the highest level.
He moved with Moving Hub.
Sergey Kovalev built his career competing at the top of professional boxing. When it came time to move his home and personal belongings, he trusted a direct carrier — one company, one accountable crew, start to finish.
From the house to the truck
Prepared. Protected. Loaded.
With furniture disassembled and protected, the team coordinated the move through the residence and out to the trucks — including oversized pieces from multiple areas of the property. The result: an organized move run by a uniformed Moving Hub crew with the equipment, protection materials and experience a high-value residential move demands.
Why it matters
Why a move like this goes right
High-value moves don’t go well by luck. They go well because of how the company is set up before the truck ever arrives.
Direct carrier
One company quotes, packs, loads and drives. Nothing is sold to a broker and nothing gets lost between handovers.
Protection first
Floors, doors and furniture are protected before anything is lifted, so the property finishes the day the way it started.
Trained crews
Uniformed, in-house movers trained on disassembly, wrapping, load planning and high-value handling.
One point of accountability
One licence, one crew lead, one written estimate — and one company responsible from the first box to the last.
Questions people ask
Case study FAQs
Who actually handled Sergey Kovalev’s move?
Moving Hub handled it directly as the carrier. The same company that quoted the move also packed, protected, loaded and transported it, using our own uniformed crew and our own trucks. No broker was involved and the job was never sold on to a third-party carrier.
How do you protect irreplaceable items like championship belts?
Irreplaceable items are handled separately from general household goods. Each piece is wrapped in soft, non-abrasive material, cushioned so nothing shifts in transit, labelled and inventoried, and kept with the crew lead rather than buried in the load. Belts, trophies, artwork and documents are treated as high-value handling from the first touch.
Can you move home gym and fitness equipment?
Yes. Racks, benches, weight stacks, plates and cardio machines are standard for our crews. Equipment is broken down where the manufacturer allows, hardware is bagged and labelled, frames are blanket-wrapped, and plates and dumbbells are loaded low and distributed so the weight stays balanced in the truck.
What does “direct carrier” mean, and why does it matter?
A direct carrier owns the trucks and employs the crew. A broker sells your move and then hands it to whichever carrier accepts the load. With a direct carrier there is one licence, one crew, one price and one company answerable for the result — which is why quotes, arrival windows and accountability are more reliable.
Which South Florida areas do you serve?
We move households across South Florida including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables, Doral, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Las Olas, Aventura, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Boca Raton and Homestead, plus long-distance and interstate moves out of Florida.
