Where We Pick Up Miami Moves From
Brickell & Downtown Miami
High-rise towers, reserved service elevators and loading dock height limits — we book the window and file the paperwork before the truck rolls.
Miami Beach & South Beach
Collins and Ocean Drive access, freight loading permit zones and Art Deco district street widths that rule out a full-size truck at many addresses.
Coral Gables & Coconut Grove
Historic streets, tree canopy clearance and gated estate access — routed and cleared in advance, not improvised on move day.
Aventura & Sunny Isles
Condo boards, strict move windows and COI requirements. Send your building name with your quote and we match the association’s wording.
Doral, Hialeah & Miami Springs
Single-family, townhome and warehouse-adjacent moves, with commercial vehicle notice filed where the community requires it.
Kendall, Pinecrest & Palmetto Bay
Larger homes, HOA notification and long driveways — crews and truck size matched to the property, not to a call-centre guess.
Homestead & South Miami-Dade
Longer haul-outs and agricultural-corridor routing, priced into your binding estimate up front.
Key Biscayne
Causeway timing and vehicle restrictions planned around, so your crew arrives inside the window your building gave you.
- Also serving Broward, West Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast — see our Florida service areas.
The Two Ways a Miami Move Goes Wrong
We run Miami-Dade daily and know which buildings need paperwork before the truck rolls, which streets won’t take a 26-footer, and which gates need a name on a list 48 hours ahead.
Way one: the local move that quietly doubles. You’re quoted $900 for a 2-bedroom in Brickell. Then comes the long-carry fee because the truck couldn’t reach the dock. The elevator fee. The stair fee. The fuel surcharge. The heavy-item charge for the sectional. You signed for $900 and you’re staring at $1,600 with your furniture still on the truck.
Way two: the long-distance move that disappears. You book a “Miami to Atlanta” move online. A crew you’ve never heard of shows up. Your things are loaded, driven to a warehouse, transferred to a different truck owned by a different company, and delivered by a third crew somewhere inside a fourteen-day window nobody will narrow down. When something is damaged, the company you paid says it wasn’t their truck.
Both failures share one cause: the company you hired isn’t the company doing the work. That is a broker. And in Miami — one of the highest-volume relocation markets in the country — brokers outnumber real carriers.
Prefer to talk it through? Call (754) 327-7816.
We’re a Direct Carrier — Here’s Exactly What That Means for Your Miami Move
- A broker sells your move, then auctions it to whoever will haul it cheapest. A direct carrier owns the trucks, employs the crew, and signs its own name to the delivery. Moving Hub is the second one — so the estimator who prices your move, the crew that wraps your dining table in Coral Gables, and the driver who unloads it in Charlotte all answer to the same company.
- Florida intrastate: Fla. Mover Reg. No. IM150010. Interstate: USDOT #3699092 · MC #1293570. Operating authority: Motor Carrier — not Broker. Company-owned equipment, full-time background-checked employees, no subcontractors. Moving Hub is the registered trade name of T&E Moving and Storage LLC — search that name to verify us with FDACS and FMCSA.

Hands down the best movers ever! 💎 "Honestly, these guys are absolute legends. They showed up right on the dot with a prepared clean truck, which was already a great sign. Moving is usually a nightmare, but the crew had a killer sense of humor that kept the vibes high all day. They’re total pros—super careful with my fragile stuff and paid attention to every little detail. Big thanks to the foreman, Reeno, for keeping all process! His leadership and responsibility made the whole process feel like a breeze. Communication was 10/10 with constant updates. If you’re looking for a moving company that’s a literal diamond in the rough, this is it. Will definitely be recommending them to all my buddies. Thanks again, guys!Posted on Google![]()

The crew arrives inside the window. Floors and elevators get protected. Your home is wrapped, loaded and — for interstate — sealed on the same truck that delivers it. You sign the same number you were quoted.
What Do Movers in Miami, FL Cost?
Last updated: September 2026. Final pricing depends on inventory, access and distance between properties. Your written quote is the number you pay.
Miami pricing isn’t mysterious — it’s driven by four things: how much you own, how many movers it takes, how long the walk from your door to the truck is, and whether your building adds paperwork or a wait.
Local & Miami-Dade Intrastate Moves
| Home Size | Crew Size | Typical Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Studio / 1 Bedroom | 2 movers | $900 – $1,800 |
| 2–3 Bedroom | 3 movers | $1,400 – $2,900 |

What Do Interstate Movers From Miami Cost?
Interstate moves are priced on weight and mileage, so the honest answer is a range until we see your inventory. Here is what real Miami-origin moves cost on our most-requested routes, with the actual distance and transit spread.
| Route From Miami | Distance | Transit | 1BR | 2–3BR | 4+BR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Miami → Atlanta, GA | ~664 mi | 2–5 days | $1,500 – $3,200 | $2,400 – $5,200 | $4,000 – $7,800 |
| Miami → Charlotte / Raleigh, NC | ~725–795 mi | 2–6 days | $1,700 – $3,500 | $2,700 – $5,600 | $4,400 – $8,400 |
| Miami → New York / NJ | ~1,280 mi | 3–8 days | $2,200 – $4,500 | $3,400 – $6,900 | $5,200 – $9,500 |

These are market estimate ranges, not a quote. They reflect full-service interstate moves including loading, transport, unloading and basic valuation, and are provided so you can budget. Your binding written quote is based on your actual inventory and is the number we hold ourselves to. Last updated September 2026.
What Moves the Number in Miami — Specifically
- Long carries. Brickell and Downtown loading docks often can’t take a full-size truck. Sometimes a smaller shuttle vehicle is required — we tell you that at quote stage, not on move day.
- Elevator windows. Most towers issue 4-hour service elevator windows, typically 9 AM–1 PM or 1 PM–5 PM, weekdays only. A tight window means a bigger crew, not a slower day.
- Timing. May through September is Miami’s peak and prices across the market run higher. Mid-month weekdays are consistently the cheapest — and the easiest elevator to reserve.
- Snowbird season. South Florida’s second demand spike runs October through April and peaks January to March. Book earlier than you think you need to.
We Don’t Just Move. We Move With Accountability.
Moving Hub has operated since 2015 on a model most of the industry avoids: our own trucks, our own payroll crews, and one company answerable from pickup to delivery.
- The quote is the quote. Binding written estimates. No stair fees, no fuel surcharges, no heavy-item charges added at the truck.
- One company, start to finish. Your move is never sold, brokered or handed to a carrier you didn’t hire.
- Licensed on both sides of the line. FDACS-registered for Florida intrastate moves (IM150010) and FMCSA-authorized for interstate (USDOT #3699092, MC #1293570 — entity type: Carrier). Verify us before you book. We’d rather you did.
- Certificate of Insurance handled free. Send your building name with your quote request and we match your association’s sample COI wording and file it before the deadline.
- A phone number that gets answered. (754) 327-7816, Mon–Sat, 9 AM–8 PM.
Interstate vs. Intrastate Moves From Miami — What Actually Changes
Most Miami moving pages use “local,” “long-distance,” “intrastate” and “interstate” as if they mean the same thing. They don’t. They are governed by two different regulators, priced by two different formulas, and protected by two different sets of consumer rights.
Intrastate Moves — Anywhere Inside Florida
Your move never crosses a state line: Brickell to Miami Beach, Miami to Orlando, Miami to Tampa, Miami to Jacksonville — and yes, Miami to Key West counts as intrastate, even at 160 miles.
- Regulated by: the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), under Chapter 507, Florida Statutes
- Requires: a Florida Mover Registration (IM number). Moving Hub’s is IM150010
- Priced by: hourly crew rate plus truck fee for short moves; flat rate for longer in-state hauls
- Your written estimate must show: the hourly rate, the number of movers, the truck fee, and every add-on service — before you sign
- Verify any mover at: the FDACS Business License Lookup (csapp.fdacs.gov), or call 1-800-HELP-FLA
Interstate Moves — Miami to Another State
Your shipment crosses a state line: Miami to New York, Miami to Atlanta, Miami to Dallas, Miami to Los Angeles.
- Regulated by: the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), under 49 CFR Part 375 — with Part 371 governing brokers
- Requires: active USDOT and MC operating authority. Moving Hub’s are USDOT #3699092 and MC #1293570
- Priced by: shipment weight or cubic feet plus mileage — not by the hour
- Your rights include: a written estimate, the federal Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move booklet, a Bill of Lading, and a defined delivery spread
- Valuation: every interstate shipment includes Released Value Protection at $0.60 per pound, per article, at no cost. Full Value Protection is a paid upgrade
- Verify any mover at: SAFER Company Snapshot (safer.fmcsa.dot.gov)
The One-Line Version
Inside Florida → FDACS + IM number + hourly or flat rate. Across a state line → FMCSA + USDOT/MC + weight and mileage. Moving Hub holds all three credentials, which is why the same company can handle both ends of your move.
How to Check Any Miami Mover in Four Minutes
- For a move inside Florida: search the mover’s IM number in the FDACS Business License Lookup. No IM registration, no legal intrastate move.
- For a move across state lines: search their USDOT number in the FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot. The “Operating Authority” line will say Carrier, Broker, or both.
- Check the entity type. If they hold broker authority only, they are not moving you. Somebody else is.
- Ask one question: “Is the truck that loads my home the same truck that delivers it?” Watch how long the answer takes.
Miami Moving Challenges We Solve Every Week
Condo Boards, COIs and the Front Desk
Most Miami towers won’t let a crew past the lobby without a Certificate of Insurance naming the association exactly as their sample specifies — usually due 48 to 72 hours ahead and rejected outright if the wording is off. Give us your building name at quote stage and we match their document and file it.
Service Elevators and 4-Hour Windows
Brickell, Aventura and South Beach buildings book service elevators in 4-hour weekday blocks, often two to three weeks out, and end-of-month windows go first. We size the crew to the window, not to the clock.
Loading Docks That Won’t Take a Full-Size Truck
Dock height and turning radius rule out large vehicles at many Downtown and Brickell addresses, as do Art Deco district streets and parts of the Grove. Where a shuttle is required we quote it up front as a line item — a shuttle sprung on you at the curb is a sales tactic.
Hurricane Season — June 1 to November 30
Miami’s storm season overlaps peak moving season almost exactly. We monitor named-storm tracks against every scheduled Miami pickup and keep you informed. The upside nobody mentions: demand is softer, so dates and pricing are often better.
I-95, the Turnpike and Billable Time
On an hourly local job, traffic is money. The I-95 corridor through Miami-Dade and Broward is one of the most congested in the Southeast. We start Miami jobs early and route around the corridor when the clock is yours.
Heat, Humidity and What It Does to Furniture
August loading in Miami is its own discipline, and year-round humidity puts condensation on wood and upholstery the moment it leaves air conditioning. Wood, leather and electronics get stretch wrap and moisture barriers as standard, not as an upsell.
Frequently Asked Questions — Movers in Miami, FL
01. How much do movers cost in Miami, FL?
Most local Miami moves run $900–$1,800 for a studio or 1-bedroom, $1,400–$2,900 for a 2–3 bedroom, and $2,200–$4,500 for 4+ bedrooms. Interstate moves from Miami are priced by weight and mileage, typically $1,500–$9,500 depending on home size and destination.
02. What is the difference between an intrastate and interstate move in Florida?
An intrastate move stays inside Florida — Miami to Orlando, Tampa or Key West — and is regulated by FDACS under Chapter 507, requiring a Florida IM registration. An interstate move crosses a state line and is regulated by FMCSA, requiring active USDOT and MC authority. Moving Hub holds all three.
03. What counts as a local move in Miami?
A local move keeps pickup and delivery within the same metro area, generally under 50–60 miles — Brickell to Miami Beach, Doral to Kendall, Miami to Aventura. Local moves are priced by crew size and hours on site rather than by distance or shipment weight.
04. Are Moving Hub’s Miami movers licensed and insured?
Yes. Moving Hub is registered with the State of Florida as a mover (Fla. Mover Reg. No. IM150010) and holds federal motor carrier authority (USDOT #3699092, MC #1293570). Verify both through the FDACS Business License Lookup and the FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot, where our entity type reads Carrier — not Broker. Our records are filed under our legal name, T&E Moving and Storage LLC.
05. Do you provide a Certificate of Insurance for Miami condo buildings?
Yes, at no charge. Send us your building name when you request a quote and we will obtain your association’s sample COI, match its exact wording and additional-insured requirements, and submit it before the deadline — usually 48 to 72 hours ahead of move day.
06. How far in advance should I book movers in Miami?
Book 3–4 weeks ahead for a local move and 4–6 weeks for interstate. If you are in a high-rise, book earlier — service elevators are reserved in 4-hour weekday windows and month-end slots fill weeks in advance. Peak season is May through September.
07. Is Moving Hub a broker or a direct carrier?
Moving Hub is a direct carrier. We own our trucks and employ our crews full time. The company that quotes your Miami move is the company that loads it and delivers it. We never sell, broker or subcontract a move to a third-party carrier.
08. How long does a move from Miami to New York take?
Miami to New York is roughly 1,280 miles with a typical transit window of 3–8 days for a full-service interstate move. Your delivery spread is written into your estimate before you book, and your shipment stays on one truck the entire way.
09. Should I move during hurricane season in Miami?
Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30 and overlaps peak moving season. Demand is softer, so dates and pricing are often better. We monitor named-storm tracks against every scheduled Miami pickup and keep you updated on any date that looks at risk.
10. What is a binding estimate and why does it matter?
A binding estimate locks your price to the inventory and services listed. A non-binding estimate can legally change once your shipment is weighed or loaded — which is how a $900 quote becomes a $1,600 invoice. Moving Hub issues binding written estimates on Miami moves.
11. Do you charge extra for stairs, elevators or long carries in Miami?
No. Stair fees, elevator fees, fuel surcharges and heavy-item charges are not added to your bill. Access conditions are assessed and priced into your binding estimate upfront — including a shuttle vehicle if your building’s loading dock cannot accommodate a full-size truck.
12. What areas of Miami-Dade do you serve?
We serve all of Miami-Dade including Brickell, Downtown, Miami Beach, South Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Aventura, Sunny Isles, Doral, Hialeah, Miami Springs, Kendall, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Key Biscayne and Homestead, plus Broward, West Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast.
13. What is Released Value Protection and do I need more?
Released Value Protection is the free federal minimum on interstate shipments: $0.60 per pound, per article. A 40-pound television is covered at $24 regardless of value. Full Value Protection is a paid upgrade that covers repair or replacement — worth it for most Miami households.
14. Do I need to empty my dresser drawers?
No. Leave clothing and soft goods in the drawers — we secure them for transport. Empty anything breakable, liquid or valuable, and keep documents, jewelry and medication with you rather than on the truck.
